Diana Poulsen is an art historian , Game Dev, visual artist, teacher, and…
She holds a MA in Art History from the University of Western Ontario and a BFA in Visual Arts at York University. She has exhibited widely including Australia, Canada, England, New York and Slovenia.
Her MA thesis, “But today we collect videogames”, is an examination of the parallels between videogames and visual art drawing on the Independent Group, the Situationist International, the Neo-baroque and collage.
Recently, she directed “Three Week Run” for the South Simcoe Theatre’s play reading series Four Play.
She is a the founder of the curatorial group Player 2.
She has a decade of teaching experience in Visual art (art history).
She was the co-chair of LOMAA (London Ontario Media Arts Association) in 2017
She was a co-curator and co-director of Vector Game Art Festival 2014.
From 2011-2013 she wrote column on art history and critical theory for Kill Screen. There is a pdf archive of these articles here.
From 2005- 2009 she volunteered as a videogame critic and videogame section editor for MONDO magazine.
